Connection method of die-cutting various materials with double-sided adhesive

In our daily production, we often encounter the issue of material connection methods. After each roll of material is used up, we need to reconnect the material to continue the production operation.


       There are also techniques involved in the handling of magnetic material die-cutting connectors. Good material splicing methods can effectively reduce the loss of defective products, while proficient and reliable splicing methods can effectively ensure production and reduce the time spent on machine adjustment and material splicing. Here, we will briefly introduce several tips for material splicing in our daily operations.

1. Double-sided tape, silicone tape, and OPP tape; double-sided tape is generally chosen for its good adhesion, firm joints, and ability to withstand the impact of normal material pulling forces. It is mainly used for joining thicker materials such as foam.


2. Silicone tape, this double-sided adhesive die-cutting can resist the release effect of release paper, and is generally used for splicing of release-type materials. OPP tape, with a thin thickness, is generally used for ordinary splicing, and the material is inexpensive and widely available, making it convenient to use.

9759彩票集团III. Common material feeding methods for die-cutting processing:

1. Cut a strip of double-sided tape with the same width, about 10MM long, and stick it on one side of the double-sided tape (stick it down from the top and flatten it). Then, stick the other end, aligning it from the edge and pressing down, and then tighten the entire roll of double-sided tape to check for balance. If one side is loose while the other is tight, it indicates that it is not flattened properly (which will result in wasting a section of material during bonding). Then, apply a different colored tape on the joint to prevent this defective joint from entering the product. If necessary, pull up the release paper together, lift the joint on the back, and stick another strip of tape.


2. For the attachment method of PET and PVC protective films (two-layer and multi-layer), affix a strip of 10MM sealing tape at the bottom of the product, which is 1/2 longer than the product. Then, press down firmly from one side of the product and trim off the excess. Repeat this process by affixing 1/4 of the sealing tape on both sides and then trimming off the remaining 1/4 of the sealing tape on both sides. If it is a hydrogel die-cut protective film, affix an additional 1/2 of the product's sealing tape in the middle. This facilitates die-cutting, allowing the waste material to be pulled up directly after die-cutting, thus avoiding machine downtime!


3. For the connection method with holes, many people believe in directly connecting them, but this is incorrect as the punching is not accurate at the joint. The correct method is to attach a 10MM sealing tape at the bottom of the material, which is 1/5 longer than each side of the material, and then connect the other end. Push the holes forward by two positions, align the holes, press them together, and then trim off the excess part. Trim off the 1/5 part on the side, so that the punching can be directly aligned!
